John P. Boggs, esq. received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and received his Juris Doctorate from University of the
Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with great distinction and was selected Order of the Coif. During law school, Mr. Boggs
served as Primary Editor of the Transnational Lawyer. Prior to establishing Fine, Boggs & Perkins llp, Mr. Boggs was with a national law firm
representing management in all aspects of labor and employment law. Among various other responsibilities, Mr. Boggs was in charge of civil
litigation for a nationwide insurance company underwriting auto dealers, as well as various other insurance carriers offering employment practices
liability insurance to auto dealers and other clients.
Mr. Boggs has defended numerous large class-action employment lawsuits as well as many other litigation matters. He provides preventive training to numerous businesses, as well as trade organizations such as the California New Car Dealers Association and CNCDA FormSource. He also advises clients on a wide variety of employment issues, including pre-employment screening, employee terminations, employment agreements, discrimination and harassment, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and hour laws, collective bargaining negotiations, drug and alcohol testing, workers' compensation issues, and various other employment-related state and federal laws. He has assisted employers in developing, implementing, and analyzing employee handbooks, personnel policies, such as sexual harassment policies, and discipline and discharge procedures. He has been lead counsel in briefing and arguing various cutting-edge employment arbitration appellate decisions, as well as both California and United States Supreme Court Amicus Briefs.
Mr. Boggs is also currently a professor of Employment Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. UNLV uses the program in the classroom teaching best HR practices and employment legal compliance.
